  • Thalangama Wetlands- Walks/cycling around the Wetlands to see a host of birds, butterflies and dragonflies
  • Water’s Edge Hotel - offering state-of-the-art fitness center, large number of restaurants including Italian and Japanese, high-end bar with live music at the weekends, and the services of the Air Taxi
          to transport you to other parts of the Island.
  • Diyatha Uyana Park, Battaramulla - located near the Water’s Edge Hotel, a popular place to relax and spend an evening, dine at the various eateries, enjoy the weekend plant sale
  • Diyawanna Oya- beautiful walkways around the lake and parliament grounds which are a popular recreational site
  • Jana Kala Kendraya (Ape Gama) – a replica of traditional old day Sri Lankan village, displaying traditional industries and village lifestyle

  • Beddagana Wetland Park - a wetland nature park, nestled within the "Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte Bird Sanctuary" is home to many endemic birds, and other faunal species such as butterflies, dragonflies and
          mammals native to Sri Lanka and Asian wetlands. It is a popular stopover for migrant birds from August to
          April.
  • Thalawathugoda Biodiversity Study Park (Diyasaru Park) - a wetland artificially built in a marshland. This park lies hidden behind the Parliament on the Japan Sri Lanka Friendship road. Diyasaru Park covers approximately 60 acres with artificial ponds and canals where you could see over 50 varieties of migratory birds, over 15 fish varieties
           including three endemic to Sri Lanka and over 25 butterfly species. It is also home to few crocodiles and about five Fishing Cats (Prionailurus viverrinus) “Handun Diviya"
          and “Kola Diviya“.
